BUILT UNDER PRESSURE
We train brains for a living. This is the short version of how that started, and where it went.
It started in the tactical teams
We spent our careers in tactical teams, where thinking clearly under pressure was not optional. That is where we learned cognitive conditioning: training the brain the way you train the body, tested with the heart rate up, not just in a classroom.
Then we moved into corporate leadership and found the same pressure in different clothes. High stakes projects, time critical decisions, people counting on you. And none of the training that got us through the first career.
So we founded Adaptive Lab to close that gap. Stress tested, evidence based brain training, taken out of specialist units and delivered to the people who actually need it most. Which, it turns out, is almost everyone.
What we do in person
Most weeks you will find us on a gym floor, a training ground or in a boardroom, running live programmes across New Zealand and beyond.
Teams and organisations
One day immersions and multi day intensives. Stress tested drills, practical strategies, and tools people actually use on the job afterwards.
Athletes and coaches
Physical stress paired with targeted cognitive drills, so athletes hold focus, decide faster and execute skills when it counts.
Leaders under load
The same principles used by elite operators, translated to the boardroom. Clearer thinking, faster decisions, composure that holds.
The Brain Gym is that training, brought home
For years this training lived in rooms with first responders, athletes and high performance teams. The Brain Gym Foundation Course is the same system rebuilt for everyday pressure, so anyone can train from home in about ten minutes a day.
It starts with a free baseline assessment: ten minutes, five mental skills measured, and your own results page showing exactly where you stand.
